The Gilroy Police Department says it is now using My90, a new survey tool from Axon used to engage the public, collect feedback and improve outcomes following service calls.
Community members can use My90 to provide input while maintaining their privacy, Gilroy police said in a news release last Sunday, adding they hope it will help them to better understand their impact in the community, and determine what is working well and what needs extra attention.
The surveys will be sent to community members following specific types of calls for police services. People can then choose to complete the survey and provide feedback.
Those who wish to provide general feedback to the Gilroy Police Department, related to overall satisfaction, safety concerns, police-sponsored events or other information that would be of interest to the police department, can also make use of the My90 survey tool.
“We are excited to be supporting the Gilroy Police Department’s mission to serve the public with smart, modern, and compassionate policing,” Axon Vice President Kona Shen said in a statement Sunday. “We know that this type of feedback can build trust, strengthen relationships, and improve safety and we admire the Gilroy Police Department’s commitment to using this feedback to serve their community.”
