Gun owners will be required to lock up their firearms under new Contra Costa ordinance

The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors has passed an ordinance requiring gun owners in unincorporated areas to lock up their guns.

The ordinance on Tuesday passed 4-0, with supervisor Diane Burgis absent.
