Sonoma County is hiring for correctional deputies who can speak both English and Spanish, the county Sheriff’s Office announced on social media.
Correctional deputies work inside the county detention facilities providing a variety of services including operating modules, investigations and programs for incarcerated persons.
Correctional deputies earn over $100,000 a year, and receive full benefits and a county retirement plan. The county will also pick up the tab for eligible applicants’ Corrections Academy training, the Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post Saturday.
The entry-level position requires no previous experience, with the county actively recruiting all talented and capable individuals. Bilingual candidates who speak both English and Spanish are highly desired, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Applicants can call the Sheriff’s Office Recruitment Line at 707-565-2779 or send an email. Those interested may also visit the Sheriff’s Office website. More information about the correctional deputy position, duties and qualifications is available online.
