Fremont police are inviting the public to interact with officers at two events this week.
The department will host “Coffee with a Cop,” from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Fremont Police Department’s front parking lot/lobby area.

“On this National Coffee with a Cop Day, stop by Fremont Police Department and have a chat with our officers and our command staff,” Fremont police said in a statement. “The event offers an informal and friendly setting for community members to meet and greet with members of the department. Come discuss neighborhood concerns and get acquainted!”
The Fremont Police Department is located at 2000 Stevenson Blvd in Fremont.
The department will also host a public safety fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in the parking lot of the Fremont Main Library. The event is meant to inform the community about public safety services and to provide tips on crime prevention and traffic safety. Police will showcase their police vehicles and equipment. Several other city departments and outside agencies will also participate. It will also feature exhibits, food trucks, giveaways, and a public forum.
