Hayward is planning on resuming in-person City Council meetings beginning Tuesday, city officials announced Friday.
The meetings will take place in the City Council chambers at City Hall.
Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 will be required to attend the meetings in person.
The city will continue to offer members of the public, city staff and council members the ability to attend and participate in meetings remotely by using Zoom webinar platform.
City officials said proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test result will not be accepted as an alternative to vaccination to enter the chambers.
Attendance to meetings will also be limited to allow for physical distancing, and everyone will be required to wear a mask or face covering while inside City Hall.
Council meetings will be broadcast and streamed live over KHRT channel 15 and via the city’s YouTube channel.
