The town of Danville is restarting its annual Music in the Park series at Oak Hill Park, kicking off the series July 24 with former “American Idol” contestant Britnee Kellogg.
The country singer appeared on seasons 11 and 12 of the ABC television series and will appear in Danville in person. Her appearance will also be streamed live from the town’s Facebook page.
Popular local Beatles tribute band The Sun Kings play the park Aug. 7.
Both shows start at 6 p.m. and offer reserved pods for four to six people, who can bring their own chairs, blankets and food. Music in the Park is free, but there is a check-in at entrances and advance registration is encouraged. Oak Hill Park is located at 3005 Stone Valley Road. Parking is available at nearby Monte Vista High School.
