Marin County is hosting an online town hall event Thursday evening to discuss the next steps for county residents and businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the state’s plans for reopening.

The town hall is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will feature county health officer Dr. Matt Willis, county Supervisor Dennis Rodoni and other local officials.

The county says the discussion “will focus on the steps toward reopening Marin and what that will mean for daily routines, including in relation to health care.”

Marin County last week moved into the yellow tier of the state’s pandemic reopening system, which allowed indoor capacities to increase for many businesses in the county. California plans to end its tiered reopening system for counties on Tuesday and that action will also lift most capacity limits for businesses and events.

People can watch the town hall via the county’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CountyOfMarin or can participate via Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/95000827668?pwd=RUhoUlZHOUJPeUdhMVQzWTNPS3NRQT09 with meeting ID 950 0082 7668 and password 074775 or with the call-in number (669) 900-6833.
