Palo Alto’s Foothills Park has opened to the general public, replacing the decades-old restriction that only allowed residents to visit the park.

Sprawling for 1,400 acres, the park is a natural preserve that provides access to fields, streams, woodlands and panoramic views of the Bay Area.
