Vallejo voters appear to have narrowly elected Robert McConnell as mayor over competitor Hakeem Brown in Tuesday’s election.

Final unofficial results show McConnell leading with a 3% margin over Brown and a wider lead over three other candidates.

In the City Council race, voters favored incumbent Rozanna Verder-Aliga in District 1, Guillermina Diaz in District 3 and Cristina Arriola in District 6.

Vallejo’s Measure G, which would have established a three-quarter-cent sales tax to support a variety of city services, failed to pass.
