Candace Andersen was sworn in recently as the 2020 chairwoman of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, and came in with a ready list of board priorities for the coming year, including housing, homeless outreach and transportation.
Andersen, who represents District 2 that covers Lamorinda, the San Ramon Valley and other areas, has been on the board since June 2012 after serving for almost 10 years on the Danville Town Council.
