California is poised to ban the use of facial recognition technology in police body cameras for three years after recent votes by the state Legislature.
AB 1215 passed the state Senate by a vote of 22-15, and the state Assembly a day later, 47-21. It was sent to Gov. Gavin Newsom for signing.
