Ten Chinatown artists in San Francisco were selected for monthly funding of $1,000 for 18 months as part of a guaranteed income pilot program for artists. On Wednesday, Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco announced the artists nominated for the program, part of a partnership with Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. The artists shared stories about their lives and what they hoped to achieve with the funds.
