The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District has detected the first West Nile virus-infected mosquitoes of the year in the county, officials announced Wednesday. The infected mosquitoes were collected from a trap near Pacheco Marsh in the Martinez waterfront area, according to the district.
