San Francisco’s Old Mint is home to two new exhibitions that showcase new ways to experience three-dimensional digital art. The first exhibition is called “Verse: Art of the Future”: “Verse” is short for “metaverse” and the “art of the future” that it displays is best experienced with augmented reality technology. The second, “The Unreal Garden,” describes itself as an “intentional journey through a fantastical reality that offers discovery, empowerment and connection.” The exhibitions, each billed as the first of its kind, offer glimpses of how digital art will transform galleries, museums, schools and entertainment in the years ahead.
