San Francisco recently took steps to crack down on the trafficking of stolen merchandise when the Board of Supervisors passed legislation backed by Mayor London Breed establishing a regulatory framework for street vending in the city.
The mayor said that the goal of the legislation is to disincentivize the resale of stolen goods and to support “legitimate” street vending.
