Former San Francisco 49ers’ linebacker Parys Haralson died suddenly Monday, according to officials with the 49ers and New Orleans Saints, where Haralson also played professional football. He was 37.
Haralson was selected by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played for the team from 2006 to 2012 and then two more seasons for the Saints. Haralson also served as the 49ers’ director of player engagement a few years after retiring from play.
