The president of Vallejo’s police union has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit alleging he has been subjected to harassment, retaliation and intimidation by top-ranking Vallejo city staff, including the city’s police chief.
Lt. Michael Nichelini filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on behalf of himself and the Vallejo Police Officers’ Association. The lawsuit seeks $7.5 million in damages.
