Oakland needs help overcoming COVID-19 rather than troops, Mayor Libby Schaaf said following comments this week by President Donald Trump that he may send more federal law enforcement to the city.

“I don’t need law enforcement in Oakland, I need testing,” Schaaf said in an interview on Twitter. “I need personal protective equipment.
