Two San Jose women have been accused of homicide in the fatal stabbing of a victim whose body was found in an unincorporated area of Livermore, police said Friday.
Alexia Nieves Solache, 22, and Veronica Rangel, 55, were taken into custody Tuesday in connection with the discovery of a body Aug. 25 in a ravine in the area of Tesla Road and Eagle Run Road.
Alameda County Sheriff’s deputies said the victim was last seen Aug. 22 at a residence in the 700 block of North 7th Street, San Jose. Deputies found that a vehicle was seen traveling from the residence to the area on Tesla Road.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the killing are still under investigation. It was the city’s 24th homicide of 2026, police said.
Solache was arrested in Los Angeles and extradited back to San Jose. Rangel was apprehended in San Jose. Both women were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail, police said.
