Two people convicted of sex offenses against children and child endangerment were arrested for probation violations in a pre-Halloween public safety sweep, Marin County officials said Friday.
The operation, conducted by the Marin County Probation Department and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, was intended to verify compliance by 13 people with court-ordered probation conditions, officials said.
Two people subjected to compliance searches were arrested on new felony charges, including possession of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse, officials said.
One person was found in possession of ammunition despite a prior felony conviction prohibiting it, officials said.
Eleven people were found to be following their probation conditions. They will continue to receive supervision and participate in rehabilitation programs required by the court, according to officials.
