West County Wastewater is hosting an event this week at its Richmond treatment plant to commemorate the completion of its “Clean and Green” energy project.

The agency’s ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday will mark the end of a roughly $87 million project to upgrade equipment, boost renewable energy production and better protect the sewage treatment facility from the effects of climate change.
