Bay Area travelers should expect bridge closures and overnight roadwork in Vallejo, Walnut Creek and on the Golden Gate Bridge starting Monday.
In Vallejo, the Mare Island Causeway Bridge will temporarily close to pedestrians and bicyclists on weekdays starting at 7 a.m. as crews perform bridge-deck maintenance. The bridge is scheduled to reopen by 5:15 p.m. each Friday, with closures continuing through Oct. 23.
