San Francisco Supervisor Alan Wong, who represents the Sunset District, announced an effort Wednesday to designate a long stretch of Noriega Street as the “Sunset Healthcare Corridor.”
For decades, Noriega Street has had a high concentration of healthcare clinics that are able to serve the neighborhood’s monolingual, Chinese population. From the Chinese Hospital’s Sunset Health Services to North East Medical Services clinics, and numerous dentist offices and acupuncturists in between, Noriega Street has been a one-stop shop for many neighbors needing health providers.
