Hayward and Alameda County officials are inspecting establishments, issuing citations and confiscating hundreds of pounds of food and cooking equipment as part of a crackdown on illegal food vending, the city of Hayward announced Monday.
Teams comprising police and code enforcement officers from Hayward and Alameda County Environmental Health officials conducted two enforcement drives on July 29 and Aug. 5, according to a news release issued by the city of Hayward.
