A 1984 DMC DeLorean, the car model made famous in the movie “Back to the Future,” burned Sunday afternoon after catching fire in a San Rafael garage, fire officials said.

The fire was reported about 4:40 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Marino Drive, where the collector vehicle was destroyed along with other contents of the garage, the San Rafael Fire Department said.
