Monterey County’s crop value decreased slightly in 2025 from a record set the previous year but still posted $4.8 billion worth of value, making it again one of the top producers in the state.
The county’s Agricultural Commissioner’s Office released its annual Crop and Livestock Report Tuesday, detailing triumphs and challenges faced by an industry that is Monterey County’s top employer and closely tied to the county’s identity as one of the top food producing jurisdictions in the world.
