Brentwood has named a longtime cop as its next police chief after he served as interim chief for nearly 10 months, city officials announced this week.

Capt. Walter O’Grodnick, a 28-year veteran of the Brentwood Police Department with more than 32 years in law enforcement, will officially become the city’s 13th police chief on July 16.
