Covelo woman allegedly pulled trigger, but rifle misfired in attempted murder case, deputies say

A 39-year-old woman was accused of attempted murder after she “pulled the trigger” on a rifle but it didn’t go off, Mendocino County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Abigail Sanchez-Santos was also accused of attempted robbery, napping and making criminal threats against her 44-year-old male roommate in the 23600 block of Biggar Lane in Covelo, the Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
