Marin County students will have the chance to speak directly with local elected officials at the 4th Annual Marin Youth Town Hall on April 26 at the Marin County Civic Center, county officials announced Wednesday.
The free, student-led event will run from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors chamber and is open to Marin students ages 12 to 25 and their families, county officials noted.
Organizers said the town hall will feature mayors, vice mayors, and council members from across Marin County in an informal question-and-answer session focused on issues important to young people and local civic engagement.
The event is organized by students in the Student Elections Ambassador Program, a youth civic engagement initiative supported by the Marin County Elections Department, the League of Women Voters of Marin County, and the Marin County Office of Education.
