The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, has appointed Bhavit Madhvani as a court commissioner, with his swearing-in scheduled for Monday, the superior court announced Tuesday.
Madhvani has served as a deputy county counsel for Santa Clara County since 2014, working on assessment appeals, child welfare cases, and medical billing and debt collection matters.
The court said his work has reflected a strong commitment to public service, social justice, and equity.
Before entering public service, Madhvani worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ venture capital tax group, advising clients on federal, state, and local tax issues.
Madhvani earned his law degree from UC Law San Francisco and his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University.
Court officials said they look forward to the experience and perspective Madhvani will bring to the bench.
