Students in Alameda County outperformed their peers statewide in last year’s assessment tests for English, math and science, according to county education officials. 

The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress for the 2024-2025 school year showed that 56% of the county’s students demonstrated mastery of English Language Arts, 48% did so in math and 42% did so in science.
