A warming center will be open to the public in Vallejo starting Wednesday as forecasters expect periods of heavy rain this week.
City officials said the North Vallejo Community Center, located at 1121 Whitney Ave., will be open from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday, and 7 p.m. Thursday through 7 a.m. Friday.
Anyone interested in helping with the warming center can sign up online for available shifts during its open hours. Further inquiries can be sent to homelessness@cityofvallejo.net.
