Pinole police make use of cutting-edge GPS tech to nab stolen vehicle without a chase

Pinole police recently used new, cutting-edge technology to corral alleged car thieves without a vehicle pursuit.

At 4:26 p.m. on Thursday, officers encountered a stolen vehicle that failed to yield. Police deployed StarChase, a GPS tracking system designed to enhance the safety of high-speed pursuits.
