Holly Holtzen of Santa Rosa has been appointed administrator of the Veterans Home of California, Yountville, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced last week.

The home, established in 1884, cares for 876 residents and their spouses on a 600-acre campus, according to CalVet. It is open to homeless or disabled veterans 55 or older, who served on active duty.
