Man shot by Pittsburg officer during mental health crisis files federal suit, seeks reform

A man shot twice by Pittsburg police while experiencing a mental health crisis in 2022 has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit.

Though he lived to tell about it, Ashton Porter said during a Tuesday press conference that he’s looking for accountability and police reform following the Feb. 24, 2022 shooting that still haunts him.
