Four measures on the Contra Costa County ballot in Tuesday’s election all appeared headed for approval as of early Wednesday morning.
Martinez’s Measure A, which seeks to change the office of city clerk to an appointed rather than elected position, had 3,819 yes votes to 1,875 no votes.
Measure B, which asked voters if they wanted the Antioch Unified School District to issue $195 million in bonds for school improvements, was narrowly ahead with 5,487 yes votes to 4,301 no votes. The proposal would levy a property tax of $48 per $100,000 assessed value of residents’ homes and its 56.06 percent yes votes were narrowly ahead of the 55 percent needed for approval.
Measure C asked voters if they supported renewing an annual $75 parcel tax for eight years for the Martinez Unified School District. The yes votes were up 3,240 to 1,202 no votes.
Measure D supported authorizing the Moraga School District to issue $52 million in bonds for school improvements and levy a property tax of $30 per $100,000 assessed value. Measure D was ahead 2,090 yes votes to 1.086 no votes.
