A parade has circled through downtown Petaluma to celebrate the first state football championship by St. Vincent de Paul high school’s team.
The parade began at 10 a.m. Sunday morning on 4th Street in front of Walnut Park and proceed north to Washington Street, east to Petaluma Boulevard, then south to the park, Petaluma police said.
The St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs defeated the Wasco Tigers on Dec. 8 in Pasadena to win the state Division 6-AA championship.
