Tax measures were on the ballot to fund school districts in three Alameda County communities in Tuesday’s election, but only one in Piedmont appears to have signed off on the tax hike.
Piedmont Unified School District’s Measure H proposed extending an existing $3,174 parcel tax to raise an estimated $12 million until it is modified or repealed by voters, and had nearly 80% of the vote, according to the latest results, well above the two-thirds majority needed to pass in the district of about 2,500 students.
