Alaska Airlines will expand its direct flights from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport to three more destinations on a seasonal basis starting in November.

The airline will make trips starting Nov. 1 to Phoenix, Ariz.; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Boise, Idaho, according to a news release from the county this week.

The seasonal route to Boise will run through April 19th and the other two will operate through April 21st.

Flights to Phoenix will be daily while the other two destinations will depend on travel demand, with schedules that could range as frequently as daily flights, according to a statement from Alaska Airlines.

“This is an incredible step by Alaska Airlines,” said Jon Stout, manager of the county-owned airport in Santa Rosa. “Not only do these destinations expand our connectivity, but they reinforce Alaska’s commitment to local travel demands. These have historically been very popular routes, and I know they’ll be well received,” he said in a statement.

Flights on the new routes will be aboard a 76-seat Embraer 175, according to the airline.

The expansion marks the 12th direct route offered by Alaska Airlines from Sonoma County.

“Alaska could not be happier to expand our route map from Santa Rosa,” said Kirsten Amrine, a vice president with Alaska Airlines. “We were the first carrier to bring commercial service to Charles M. Schultz-Sonoma County Airport, and we’re proud to remain the largest airline serving the community.”
