Clerks at the San Francisco Superior Court have called off a one-day strike scheduled for Wednesday after reaching a tentative agreement, a spokesperson for the union said.

Court clerks had scheduled the one-day strike to begin at 7 a.m. Wednesday to address what they said were concerns about chronic short staffing and inadequate training. On Tuesday evening, the union, Service Employees International 1021, said a tentative agreement had been reached in contract negotiations with court management.

A spokesperson for the court was not available for comment.

Court operations will continue on their usual schedule Wednesday, the union said.
