It has been said that the third time’s a charm. But try to tell that to a 50-year-old Petaluma man who found himself placed under arrest over the weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence by the very same officer who’d arrested him for DUI twice before.
Miguel Angel Fernandez-Hernandez, who was on probation for the previous convictions, gave a false name when he was stopped about 9 p.m. Friday, but was recognized by the officer, Petaluma police said.
Fernandez-Hernandez was pulled over after a vehicle was seen speeding and making unsafe, abrupt lane changes through congested traffic, police said.
He was accused of DUI with a felony enhancement due to multiple prior convictions, violation of probation, falsely identifying to a police officer and driving on a suspended license.
