The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office said it filed 867 felony narcotic cases in 2023.

Prosecutors also won 323 convictions or guilty pleas to another felony charge last year, the district attorney’s office said Friday.

Cases may be presented in one year but be resolved later, said Randy Quezada, the office’s communications director.

As of Feb. 1, 762 bench warrants have been issued for freed drug defendants who failed to appear in court for a hearing. Of those, 145 have more than one open case, according to the district attorney’s office.

Since District Attorney Brooke Jenkins took office, prosecutors have filed 426 motions to detain the most serious drug dealing suspects; judges have granted 39.
