San Joaquin County is inviting the county’s youth to enter an art contest with a chance to win numerous prizes.

The art contest, #SJVAXForTheWin, asks children and teens to answer the question “As more people get vaccinated against COVID-19, what do you most look forward to doing?”

Children ages 5 to 11 will be allowed to submit a visual art piece such as a drawing, photo, collages, storytelling or a painting. Kids 12 to 18 are asked to submit a video art piece in the form of a real, virtual, machinima, interactive, poetry, music, graphics, video shorts, storytelling, and other forms of video art.

All submissions can be posted to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #SJVaxForTheWin by Nov. 5 at 5 p.m.

All accounts must be public profiles and children under 18 must have parental consent to enter the contest.

Requirements to enter the contest include the submissions being original work, visual art submissions must be on a single flat standard 8.5-by-11-inch piece of paper, and video art must be a minimum of 15 seconds and no longer than 1 minute in length.

The first-place winner for the visual art entry will receive a Nintendo Switch gaming console system and super bundle package as well as a $250 Amazon gift card.

The video winner will receive a MacBook Air with Final Cut Pro, AirPods Pro and a $300 iTunes gift card.

A list of additional prizes and other rules and requirements can be found online.
