Major Vallejo shakeup: Cardwell named interim city manager; Long to fire chief

The city of Vallejo announced major staffing changes within City Hall a day after Anne Cardwell was appointed interim city manager by the City Council.

Cardwell tapped Kyle Long to serve as Vallejo’s permanent fire chief. Long had been serving as interim fire chief following the sudden resignation of Fire Chief Daryl Arbuthnott in mid April.
