Horse racing fans and hikers alike will soon be able to enjoy new access to the San Francisco Bay along a one-mile stretch of East Bay shoreline behind the iconic horse racing venue Golden Gate Fields.
The area will be transformed, by the end of next year, into a trail that connects to the San Francisco Bay Trail, according to the East Bay Regional Park District.
