It was a day and night of new records with the most memorable being Brittany Force’s 343.16 mph with a 3.645 elapsed time Top Fuel run in the Monster dragster at 9:10 p.m. on Friday night reinforcing her title of the NHRA’s fastest driver.

The run gave her the provisional No. 1 spot the 37th annual NHRA Denso Sonoma Nationals at Sonoma Raceway that continues through Sunday.

Doug Kalitta is second at 332.84 mph with a 3.661 elapsed time and Clay Millican is currently third at 335.15 mph with a 3.699 elapsed time.

In Funny Car competition Matt Hagan took the provisional No. 1 spot at 332.84 mph with a 3.661 elapsed time in the JHG Dodge//SRT Hellcat.

Greg Anderson secured the provisional No. 1 spot in Pro Stock and set a new track record in the HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro with a 6.472 elapsed time at 210.14 mph
