San Francisco man was arrested this month for allegedly possessing a large cache of child pornography, according to police.
In April, police received a tip that a man was in possession of child pornography in the city. San Francisco officers along with the FBI and the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security identified Albinus Benus, 56, as the suspect.
A search warrant was served at his residence in the 100 block of Maynard Street on Sept. 12 and he was arrested.
Investigators allege they seized multiple electronic devices which contained large quantities of child pornography that was categorized into numerous categories.
Benus was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, with the enhancement of over 600 files and the enhancement of child pornography depicting bondage.
A search of jail records Wednesday showed that Benus was no longer in custody pending trial.
