Sandbag filling stations will be open the in two Saturdays, Nov. 4 and 11, throughout Stockton in preparation for any upcoming heavy rainfall, city officials said.

Anyone who experienced flooding or high amounts of rain in their area during the 2022-23 winter storms or heavy rains can visiting the filling stations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Locations include the Stockton Soccer Complex located at 10055 N. state Highway 99/West Frontage Road, Weber Point Events Center located at 221 N. Center St. or Van Buskirk Park located at 1740 Houston Ave.

City officials said the stations are self-service and visitors must bring their own shovel. Additionally, anyone entering the stations will need to show identification with a Stockton address. 

City employees will be available for anyone needing assistance filling or loading bags into their vehicles.
