Local nonprofit Sustainable San Mateo County will be launching its 27th Annual Indicators Report, “The Well-Being of Children, Youth and Families in San Mateo County,” on Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. At the CZI Community Space in Redwood City.

Admission is free, and includes a light breakfast, but online registration is required by Monday.

This year’s report will feature experts, including County Executive Mike Callagy, discussing the challenges facing young San Mateo County residents and their families and suggest ways to ensure a brighter future for them, SSMC said.

Other speakers will be Simona Vallone, SSMC’s Indicators Report Program Manager; Heather Cleary, CEO of Peninsula Family Service; Dr. Kismet Baldwin-Santana, the county’s new Health Officer; and Tracy Weatherby, Vice President of Strategy and Advocacy for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.

Sustainable San Mateo County or SSMC is a public charity nonprofit organization established in 1992 by a group of San Mateo County residents who wanted to build awareness of the need for sustainability in their area.
