Members of the Antioch community came out to defend Mayor Lamar Thorpe at a special meeting this week called by two City Council members to examine how the council does its business.
Turns out, it was much ado about almost nothing, at least when it came to a proposal to consider Antioch switching from four to five council districts and annually rotating the mayor’s position among council members, instead of electing one mayor for a four-year-term.
